ABOUT THE WORK
Since 1997, themes of touch, gesture and relationships have been prominent throughout Jennifer's photographic work. Her graduating thesis, 1997-98, dealt with the awkwardness and discomfort that exist during moments of physical communication.
This focus continued with bedded, 2000-01, a series of open-ended dialogues about the acceptance and rejection of touch. It was further explored in Doubt, 2002, which addresses the emotional state and uncertainty that arise within relationships, and persists through to her most recent project Shifting, 2003 to present.
